Business Philosophy and Culture
GDI conducts its business in an ethical, open and professional manner. The directors and staff are focused on building long-term relationships with its investors and its service providers. As a result of this philosophy, most of GDI's investors historically have chosen to re-invest with GDI, on closure of their initial investment.
Alignment of Interests
GDI has co-invested alongside investors in many of the previous funds the directors have sponsored. GDI fees are heavily weighted towards a share in the performance over an IRR hurdle rate. The hurdle rate has varied in the past, dependent on the risk profile of the fund.
Through co-investment and sharing performance benefits, GDI seeks to align the interests of investors and GDI as the manager.
Performance as opposed to volume
GDI are not volume merchants attempting to build volume funds under management at the expense of investors. GDI is totally focused on profitable property investments for the benefit of GDI and its equity investors.
